About
Charlie Martin is a fresh and dynamic choreographer with a passion for story telling through movement. Originally from County Durham, she left home at the age of 11 to train at The Royal Ballet School where she was Head Girl and awarded the April Olrich Award for Dynamic Performance. It was here that she began to develop her choreographic skills with works that were praised for their individuality, musicality and quite often, their humour.

Charlie has a wealth of experience under her belt to take with her into any rehearsal room having performed on the West End and in theatres around the world. She has worked her way through being, a Swing, Dance Captain, Resident Choreographer and is the Associate Director/Choreographer of new British musical Kathy and Stella Solve a Murder for Jon Brittain and Fabian Aloise.
Charlie is a keen collaborator, enjoying the challenge of making movement for all variations of performer. Most Recently Charlie choreographed Urinetown for Mountview working with director Richard Fitch. She also choreographed the workshop SOHO for a new film being developed by director John Stephenson where she was able to draw on her roots, fusing classical dance with rock 'n' roll.
